Great job, Toonami definitely helped a lot to push Adult Swim, viewer numbers.

Maybe this will give Adult Swim the hint to put Toonami on weeknights. I'm sure that'd be a better use for the timeslot rather than a re-airing of a "Family Guy" episode we saw three hours ago.

I dunno about that. I always see lots of people online complaining about the overabundance of FOX comedies on the lineup (me being one of them), yet they continue to be the most-watched shows on AS. I don't really see any reason why they would want to replace them with anime, which simply doesn't pull in as many viewers as Family Guy does. |

Oh good. I'm sure that means more live action rubbish to look forward too. Thank god for Rick and Morty, best new AS show in a while. |

no a better, conservative approach that would return consistent high-viewer ratings is to make late saturday nite exclusively anime and rebrand that whole block as toonami. also toonami saturday block should keep their lineup always new and fresh by getting more new shows (1-2 per year) that's still considered "fresh" like what they did to S.A.O. (english dubbed version airs 6 months after the last episode aired in japan). reruns should be kept minimum (or none at all) and advertise-it-to-death newly acquired toonami anime on all adult swim hours from sunday to friday. |

The folks running Toonami & AS know what they are doing. One step at a time, building steady in the demographics that they have targeted. We will eventually see more Anime, I believe the market is there and it appears that AS does too. To quote the song, "Wait for it, give it some time". Mark Gosdin |

Actually, good on Eric Andre! I'm not a big fan, but he's...interesting, to say the least. And it's great to see some more black people in late night comedy. I like a lot of [as]'s scripted comedy shows: NTSF:SD:SUV is a hilarious send up of all those generic police procedurals that've come out since Law & Order (CSI, NCIS, etc). Children's Hospital spoofs medical shows, and Eagleheart is Walker: Texas Ranger warped by comedic minds (including executive producer Conan O'Brian). It's good that [as] is still developing cartoons like Rick & Morty, but it'd be a mistake to discount all their live action shows just because they're not animated. (says the anime fan who never watched J- or K- dramas! ). |

I just can't believe that people will still pay money for cable.

Strictly speaking I do watch all my AS on their streaming website. |

They won't make more of 'em if there aren't people who watch 'em (similar for so-called moeblobs).
It promotes inter-generational incest, kinda! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZBWfmdm-as#t=423 (Boy, grandfather..... underage sister: "Let's make an intergenerational sandwich!")
For some, it's part of their internet package. For others, believe it or not, they actually find shows that they like in there - and there's hundreds of shows (that's nothing if anybody can find 1 out of 40 anime to like every season). Just like people pay for Netflix or Crunchyroll. |

That and, believe it or not, a lot of people (myself included) do live in areas where there's not exactly great internet speed options, and/or can't afford said higher speed options, so streaming isn't exactly the best option for us. Good on Toonami though, I hope it continues to grow and grow for them. |

That's me. Stupid HOA agreeing to bad package deals that you cannot opt out of. Though, it is a nice cable package with tons of HD channels, but we're probably overpaying for it and the internet. I believe cable companies know that their days may be numbered, so I expect package deals will be on the rise in the future, inseparable ones. I just wish you could choose your channels a la carte, with different pricing perhaps based on marketability or niche interest (NFL Nertwork wouldn't be cheap), instead of having hundreds you never really use. |

Excellent news! I'm very glad that bringing back Toonami was a success, and that the support for it coming back didn't just come from the overtly nostalgic people of my generation that might say "Toonami? Oh yeah, I loved that as a kid! Bring it back!" and then...when it comes back, they never watch it.
Sadly that's kind of the case for me, but it's not my fault. I work when Toonami comes on, and I can't get Saturdays off. |
