That was quick.
The whole pledge-doubling thing got people out of the habit of pledging late, I suppose. |

I'm so excited! It was awesome to see it get to its goal so fast with the Black Friday special. I really hope the entire series can get a physical release because I am in love with it.

Pity the timing didn't workout for Pastel Yumi to get a final push, but the pledge drive has definitely been amazingly successful. THANKS MYSTERIOUS BENEFACTOR.
(I bet it's George Soros.) |

I still haven't decided whether to pledge for Dear Brother yet, but I've already pledged to Black Jack set 2. Please people, get Black Jack released!
For those who haven't pledged because you missed set 1, you can actually add a copy of the first dvd set when you pledge for set 2. DO IT! |

Out of curiosity, if you pledge for Dear Brother now, would the money go toward the next set since they already reached their goal? |

here: Not yet. You have to wait til the pledge for the third set happens. But if you haven't pledged yet, you got over two months left to do so for the first sets.

It seems like with all this hype to fund the new boxsets as fast as possible using the promotion, people have forgotten that Black Jack Set 2 has only 3 days left, and so it's barely going any faster than it would have without the promotion + new sets. Please oh please don't forget about Black Jack, people.

No, but funds collected in overtime help with covering the costs of subtitling shows that don't make it. The main reason a consumer might want to purchase (no longer pledge) at this point would be to get the special bonuses that only come with Dear Brother set 2, like E-conte (storyboards) part 2 or the second signed original illustration. Not to mention completely ensure you're reserved a copy. Some interesting details in this post by Sam - you might not have to wait the full 1 or 2 month period for the final sets of Dear Brother and Creamy Mami to start taking pledges! |

Yes, if you want your spending this weekend to make the biggest difference, pledge on Black Jack! And if you're still feeling generous, the Tezuka Specials set and Hurricane Polymar complete series are also there for crazy action, give 'em a look! They have more time before their deadlines, but the pledges already made for them this weekend have really helped a lot! |

We must not forget Black Jack! Right now it needs only $6,735 to reach the goal. So we need either 7 super novas, 14 novas, 23 super pulsars, 34 pulars, 52 super cores, or 85 cores or lots of super boosters.
Pledge and spread the word Also don't forget the 24 Tezuka specials, that one needs only $8,760 to reach it's goal! For this one we need either 18 novas, 31 super pulsars, 49 pulsars, 73 super cores, or 146 cores or lots of super boosters. We must make it by the end of the promotion! |

Packers won the Superbo...
Sheesh, I need new material. Then again, it wouldn't be getting so old if so many awesome things weren't happening so close together. This is really cool. It's comforting to know that the DVD sets for series are 2/3rds guaranteed and I doubt that the third will fail. It's also a nice coup for Anime Sols. There are at least 109 people who pledged to the first set who haven't pledged to the second one. The lily tribe is loyal, but it owes its rapid success to this pledge-doubling promotion. The number of pledges for these sets is really low in general. I know that these shows have very particular appeal, but I still have this feeling that Anime Sols has a weirdly stubborn exposure problem. For some reason, a lot of people just aren't finding out about it or don't want to participate in it. I wish good luck to the 24-hour specials and Black Jack. I've contributed $30, which became $60, to specials and $10, which became $20, to Black Jack. I wonder what happened to all of the support from the first set. At least set three for Creamy Mami won't be such a nail-biter. |

Surrender:
Well, I keep hoping Sols will bring over more recent stuff like Recca or Tokyo Mew Mew...And if we're lucky, Sket Dance and Beelzebub, 'cus I just know no one else is going to be touching that latter show, unless the manga gets published in Jump U.S.A. |

1 day left for AnimeSols Black Friday Double Up promotion. We have all of Dec 1 to have our pledges count towards the promotion.
Currently: Black Jack boxset 2 needs only $6,060 to reach it's goal. 24 Hour Tezuka TV Specials needs only $8,490 to reach it's goal. Hurricane Polymar needs only $20,270 to reach it's goal. Creamy Mami boxset 3 needs only $1,100 to reach it's goal. Everybody keep pledging like there's no tomorrow! |
