That is why is a good promotion! A lot of people that read the Times don't read One Piece, so some of them will give it a chance(with some volume, magazine or anime).
If it will work well and how well will it be, nobody knows, let's see.

This is actually pretty neat. It's one thing to celebrate in domestic media, but taking it abroad in many newspapers around the world is a bold statement of pride.

the idea of advertising is to reach the largest demographics possible. why would you advertise to people who're already planning to purchase your product?
also, the times has a history of running underground comic artists; some of my favorites have done limited-run strips in it.
