I don't Care about Vanille. If your going to bring one back out of the crystal, Bring back Fang damn it. Then I will think about buying this game.

every time a Lightning Returns article comes out it's like they're trying to say "Thought it couldn't possibly get any worse? Here you go! (Please, please someone give us money.)"

Fang is already coming back though. She even helps Lightning in some battles.

Square Enix, there's no point in trying to get us hyped for returning party members if they won't actually be in your party. Seriously, the FF battle system is so not designed for one character, why did they do this?

It's a shame because the newest trailers make the world/exploration look pretty impressive, but a weak battle system will make me pass on it. That along with the fact I don't think XIII should have had a direct continuation, it had a conclusive ending and the stuff I've heard about what goes down in XIII-2 sounds incredibly stupid. But whatever, I'll pretend it ended with XIII and ignore the "sequels" (same way I ignore Chrono Cross). Bring on XV already.

There is no "FF battle system" and I'm not sure why it won't work with 1 person. Crisis Core was fun and if anything XIII's battle system does. Constantly switching between ability sets seems pretty fine for one character to me.

Ah, ok. I didn't see them. I lost interest in watching the trailers after the first two. I just stuck to reading the artical's about it and I don't remember there being one about Fang coming back. Thanks for tell me that. yay then.

Vanille and Fang were my favourite characters from the original, so this may sway my interest enough to return to the series.
