Wait, I thought they said they don't license Shueisha titles.

I'm really confused, but I'll take it.
Enjoyed the first volume, so it's going to be awesome having it on my shelf in English.

Funny thing, I wanted to suggest it in the survey but I couldn't because of Shueisha.

Wait, if Vertical can license Shueisha titles...the possibilities...

I wonder if this is a special exception?

It's likely a special exception, because when I mentioned this on Twitter, Ed Chavez said this:

hahah!! We technically not a Shueisha title but yeah.

So it's likely that Vertical was able to get this without having to deal with Shueisha; the mangaka possibly had the rights to the manga & Shueisha might have just been the publisher.

They're more explicit on their Tumblr -- the artist actually approached them about licensing the series.

Looking forward to the Vertical panels this year at NYCC. But this is a interesting title. Good to see another new face in the manga scene.

The manga revolves around the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Cyber Crime Division in there pursuit of a criminal arsonist.

I think there's a small typo. "There" ought to be "there" if I'm not mistaken.

That aside, this sounds like an intriguing premise and definitely a series I'll be looking out for.[/spoiler]

Yup. We can't but this isn't a Shueisha title. But you all aren't aware of that Wink

That said, the author's people did get in touch with us and gave us a pretty good offer. So we decided to put this out.

I'll be honest and say, this wasn't on our radar in any way, until we were contacted by the rights holders.
