So I'm assuming this will have mecha themes in it. That excites me tbh since I'm a fan of these type of anime series and I found Star Drive to be fabulous.

This serves to remind how I need to watch Star driver already.Anyway its pretty awesome that Enokido is working on something new,I am sure that this will be great like pretty much every single one of his works.Bones really is on fire recently.

I loved Star Driver purely for its insanity, and aesthetic appeal, its one of my favorite BONES works, not because its good by any means, but because it's just so dang entertaining!
BONES dry spell is effectively over. With Tenkai Knights airing now, Space Dandy in Winter, Noragami probably coming in Spring, and now Captain Earth. I'm excited! BONES original mecha series have always been enjoyable, so I'm looking forward to this one! If only it will be a 50+ episode series! *crosses fingers* |

*Groans* I knew someone going to refer to that show. I wonder if Captain Earth people knew of that connection with Captain Planet. The poster looks dead sexy for something sounding so cartoonish. Perhaps its name sound better to Japanese audience. Hope its awesome 'Mecha show. |

I sure hope it is leagues better than Star Driver. That show protected their protagonists far too hard and it lacked any true drama or pathos for it, no matter how hard they tried to sell it (the "flamboyant/crazy" content was just as empty, too). Enokido has done much better work and I should be looking towards those, but the muck from Star Driver alone has me wary of what he does now. On the bright side, that could change if this turns out to be pretty good…

So, 1 year ago Bones announced they were working on a new version of a "known title" (animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-06-16/kawamoto/bones-working-on-new-version-of-familiar-title)
Does anyone know if they meant this anime? |
