In 2006, Iijima returned to Macross to reprise her role as Lynn Minmay in the English dub. In doing so, Iijima made history by becoming the one of the first Japanese voice actresses to reprise a major role in the English dub of a Japanese anime. Iijima currently lives in Los Angeles.

uh correction, she wasn't the first. Miyuki Sawashiro was the 1st Seiyu to reprise her role for the English dub for Di Gi Charat OVA and film. You made that same mistake for the 2nd time. Laughing

Yes but that would mslead many people and sort of give the wrong impression that Mari Ijima was the first Seiyu to reprise her role for the English dub when Miyuki Sawashiro was the first Seiyu to did it first. I don't want people to be misled by the confusion hence why I put that info in. I thought you guys at ANN may have made a mistake giving that article I put was from 2005 and thought it was forgotten.

I think the problem is the typo "the one of the first." If you remove the unnecessary "the" so it says "one of the first", then it is both grammatically and factually correct Smile

Despite having no format art training

Think you meant "formal" instead of "format."

Never knew there was a convention dedicated to Macross in the States.
