Nice trailer, plus I'm glad we have a new type, we haven't had one for so long! I wonder what other Pokemon will become Fairy Type...

I feel I'm safe in assuming that Clefairy, the Fairy Pokemon, will be Fairy-type.

I also assume Marill will become Water/Fairy, as opposed to just Fairy.

Also, I remember having the old Pikachu Tomogatchi, he always turned his back on me. So, I'm nervous about the new one.

Well... looks like I new favorite type...

I've always loved the types Grass, Water and Ice but also loved the adorable Pokemon as well...

Looks like a good chunk of the adorable Pokemon will be a fairy type...

There's a Fairy egg group already, which includes Jigglypuff and Marill, but not Gardevoir. Not sure what this means, but... yay!

This will be the first time I buy a new console for a new Pokemon game at its release date since Red and Blue.

It's safe to say that Igglybuff, Wigglytuff, Azurill, and Azumarill are all Fairy-type. It is not, however, safe to say that Ralts and Kirlia are because of Gallade being Psychic/Fighting-type. My bet is those two will remain pure Psychic-types and Fairy-type in this evolution chain will become optional to Fighting, depending on Kirlia's gender of course.

Also, as far as I can tell, it didn't say anything about them in the trailer so I'll say this here. BulbaNews reports on their Twitter that new Pokemon Vivillon and Noivern are Bug/Flying and Flying/Dragon. Boomburst, the new move used by Noivern in the trailer, is Normal-type. It sorta goes without saying anyway, but the new moves used by Sylveon and Gardevoir in the trailer, Moonblast and Fairy Wind, are both Fairy-type.

It will be a month short of fourteen years when this releases since the Steel and Dark types have been with the games.

I also took screenshots of the Japanese names of the two new Pokemon: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/2225/bibiononbaan.png

Bibiyon (Vivillon - same as English, proving the double-l is a "y" sound) and Onbaan (Onvern - sound + wyvern).

The day has come where we might just be able to see a Clefairy kill a Dragonite

So it turns out that "Fairy" is a new type introduced within the sixth generation of Pokemon...
It'll be interesting to see how this new type will match up with other types.

the fairy type should help to even the playing field some. Before this new type wasn't it only other dragons that could decent damage on dragon types? Anyway that pokemon amie reminds me of the stuff you could do with the dream eaters in kh 3d. You could pet them play side games and feed them things to help them grow better or bond with them. It kind of feels like an unnecessary feature here but we'll see. Can't wait to play it.
