That poster strongly reminds me of the Warriors novel series by Erin Hunter. I want to see a film adaption of that!

Well, I have to get over imagining them as realistic cats, but the art style and colors are nice. Can't wait!

Victoria Holmes (one of the Hunters) stated that there were no plans, though fans are really dying for one. I think the fact that it is both serious (but not unfriendly to children), features cats, and is animated might be a turn-off for general audiences, though. The closest we've had recently is Guardians of Ga'Hoole. It made 140 million on an 80 million budget, but only about 56 million was made domestically.

(Oh, and I would love a Warriors film, as long as they stuck with just the first series. Maybe Tailchaser will prove there is a lucrative market for cat-based adventure films.)

Shame about Guardians of Ga'Hoole. I didn't know what it was til I randomly caught it on a channel showing, and it was gorgeous, and I have never used the word "gorgeous" for a 3D animated feature before I saw Ga'Hoole. I still need to pick up those books they were based on.

I'm sure any serious cat lover will check this out, one way or another if it gets on their radar.

I love the look of that poster! As one who loves both cats and animation, me thinks I'll enjoy this film. Very Happy

It looks like this "Tailchaser's Song" is going to involve both Japan and the U.S. I think that's great. I've had a great deal of respect for both Japanese and American animators for a long time now and it's pretty good when both sides work on a project together. I hope it succeeds.
