I'm always game for naval conflict in my anime. Too bad the best possible one ever only got two episodes in 1994.

Hmmmm. As much as I've been praying for this series to be made into an anime, I really don't see the staff/studio being up to the task. It seems a bit too subtle & nuanced for Kishi Seiji.
Well, at least the cgi should be nice. That's about as positive I can be right now. Yeah.... not too good.

Ah expected from yesterday's announcement of Nisekoi's anime adaptation, this would of came next.
I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Wow didn't think was popular enough to get an anime. I wanted to read the manga, but the translators are slow. Very excited for this!

Actually the translation is quite fast. Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio is a monthly manga.

What reggie said.
Anyway i'm a fan of manga and i hope they get the drama CD to reprise their roles including Rina Satou, Aoi Yuki, Kana Hanazawa, Aki Toyosaki, Tomokazu Sugita, Minoru Shiraishi and two more whose names i forgotten.

As far as I can tell this is a full 3DCG anime.

I hope that's not the case. Kingdom looked absolutely horrible.

Jun Fukuyama and Houko Kuwashima. The cast for the drama CD is very good.

Nice, cast sounds great guys.
Sounds really cool, similar to what walw6pK4Alo said, I'm always up for scifi and some rare submarine style action.
Despite sounding quite different this gives me a bit of Blue Sub vibe which makes me want to check it out even more even if it's probably totally different which would not be a problem at all.

I think you are right looking at Sanzigen, I'm really curious how this is going to look.
If so hopefully they're able to push full-CG to get better on the TV anime level. At least they've been involved in a number of good looking productions.

Errm. a submarine of, I would imagine, 120 -130metres in length 15 metres in beam, and 7 metres in draft usually on average, "takes on human form"? and I presume that pretty secondary school girl is that human form?
I lol, but the concept does remind me of Tenchi Muyo's Ryo-ohki, remember the cute little "cabbit" that could morph into an intergalactic space ship? But Ryo-ohki remained a "furry". This idea of the secondary school girl morph looks a tad too tanted toward the lolicom camp for my tastes.
"Allow me to introduce my girlfriend, Sen Toku. I call her Iyonhyakuichi".

LOL
Actually hadn't thought about that detail yet.
Is it like that or is she like a physical avatar of the ship?

Man, Seiji Kishi never seems to take a break these days. Sounds a little interesting, especially with Sanzigen handling the production, but I hope it fulfills its potential more than Persona4 the Animation, which should've looked amazing but was more underwhelming than anything else (still liked the show, however). I'll wait and see for some footage…
