Oh good. I was beginning to think they were never going to release it physically. I'll definitely be picking it up.

yay, some new people. Austin is kinda sounding like a mix of Ayumu Aikawa and Accelerator, but i'm totally ok with that.

I tried to get into this one; the story just seemed so generic. It seemed like literally everything in this series had been done better before. Particularly the concept of a bold hero arming themselves with a sword pulled from a mysterious maiden's chest:

I LOVE YOU FUNIMATION!

Ya know, I would like for once to hear FUNi's VA's used in a Gundam series.

This mess of a show was madly entertaining to follow while it was airing, where no one else had a single clue what was going to happen next. Without that element of surprise, intrigue, and discussion, Guilty Crown's value as a show drops tremendously. I believe it was a one time offer, if you weren't watching it fresh you missed out.

That's not a coincidence given that he voiced both of those characters.

I would love to see C3 dubbed, but as far as I know, funimation doesn't even own the license to it.

Also, this dub seems awesome. I watched the Subbed but now I can't wait to watch it dubbed. The voices seem to fit so well. Love the casting (at least the once in the trailer thus far). They all seem spot on and even better then the Japanese counter parts in my opinion. The voices catch the character better IMO then the Japanese, which didn't really do it for me. Austin's voice fits Shu's character to a tee.

Good choices, I'll be glad to see how everything turns out.

Anyways, while this show's plot was really not that great, I see myself getting this because it had beautiful animation, an amazing soundtrack, and it is a good shounen action show if the plot doesn't get to you (and I've seen some stuff with truly awful plots, this is probably mediocre- a bit better at its highest points).

I haven't seen this show but I feel like I should, if only to see all the apparently absurd plot twists it has (the way people are describing this show there's a completely ridiculous and unforewarned plot twist every single episode).

The voices sound fine, which is good, yet also fitting enough for the characters involved, which you could even say is a case of damning them with faint praise too, given how poorly I tend to think about the cast of characters in this show.

In any event, for me Guilty Crown will remain what it was: a very stylish audio/visual spectacle that steadily degenerated into causing boredom and/or annoyance in all other respects, both in spite and because of the permanent sense of self-importance accompanying its vapid proceedings, which even all the ridiculous twists in the world could not make truly watchable.

I've watched and enjoyed a number of shows with absurd twists, but usually they also had something else that made them worth sticking around with, at least beyond looking stylish and hip. This one still remains the most recent case where I either got too fed up or too disinterested about everything at a certain point and just had to quit. I would not recommend this, not even for those who expect to get "so bad it's good" vibes.

On a slightly nicer note, Funimation's art and packaging choices certainly make the product look attractive.

Anyone notice a little creative licensing with Shuu? The dub makes him seem more of a willing hero than he is...
