It kills me that I won't be able to see her tomorrow due to Mother's Day-related business. She's awesome.

She always performs the only OP/ED songs I dislike in the respectful shows.
I also like how they call her "Japan's Rising Pop Star" When her CDs don't sell that great

So just buy the CD in that case! That's what I do. Support her!
Would love to see her live but a bit far away for that...

Welp, I'll most likely end up going to see her perform since it's just a short drive away. A shame it's in Oakland though.

That's kinda cool to hear. Nice to see a J-pop singer like Kylee to perform in the US, we don't see much J-pop concerts (other then at anime cons), where K-pop concerts outside of Asia is more prevalent.

Well she may not have a lot of fans in Japan, but she could get more fans outside of Japan. I don't like throwing in K-pop into a J-pop topic. But several K-pop groups I know don't have a lot of fans in Korea, but have more fans outside of Korea. Example: U-KISS, and FT Island are under-appreciated in Korea but have more fans outside of Korea.
If I was a J-pop artist that don't have a lot of fans in Japan, I would do concerts and promotion outside of Japan, I could get more fanbase outside of Japan then rather in Japan. I wish Japan and J-pop could learn more from Korea when it comes to music and fanbases.

I can't believe how young she was when she did the endings to Xam'd.
I really like the songs I've heard from her so far. I'm going to have to remember to check out this new upcoming U.S. album.

She seems to have more control of her career than being under an agency's thumb.

Yeah I agreed, why can't all J-pop artists do that. I mean Kana Nishino (who by the way speak English fluently), Crystal Kay, Angela Aki, Anna Tsuchiya could've done English-language albums and they could've hit it big in the US and outside of Japan and probably become just as popular as K-pop artists (like Jay Park for example) are doing now.
