Seriously folks? Seriously? The show will probably be good, but who on earth is giving him permission to instill despair into the minds of children now? Heaven help us all...

I have to laugh at the comments. I guess after Madoka you can only wonder what could come up this project from Urobuchi. Be curious to see how this works. Looking to see what he comes up with.

Well it's not like American cartoons haven't been traumatizing kids for years, Brave Little Toaster anyone?

While I have no right to judge the project before it's finished, let me be the first to say...
This is the equivalent of letting Ernest Hemingway write for Sesame Street.

One of the best kids movies in years was made by Martin Scorses, who never made a kids movies before, so I can get behind a project like this.

To be fair, the last time anybody tried a stunt like this, we got Digimon Tamers. Which was pretty awesome.

Not really sure why people think Gen can only write one type of thing.
So basically what you are saying is Gen is only capable of writing stories with a dark twist. That isn't really giving him any credit as a writer.
And it's not just with this. Everyone expecting the "dark twist" in Gargantia because Gen wrote it (even though he hasn't even wrote every episode) is also not giving him enough credit. There should be more to a story than a good plot twist. And besides if you are expecting it, it's no longer a good plot twist.
I really hope Gen can do something more than that and well I think he can.
