I'm kind of curious about what type of film this might be (assuming it's a film). Will it be more fanciful and epic in scope, or a smaller and more human drama? I can see Goro going for the latter, as it's what he has had more success with so far. Still, it'd be great to see him blossom with one really great work!

Man, three Ghibli films on the horizon? Is it Christmas already? Very Happy

Up on Poppy was really good. I saw it in the theatre last week. Will get the blu ray when it releases.

I haven't seen Earthsea yet, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Earthsea of one of those series with pretentious fan base and an equally unlikeable writer. Howl's moving castle was different from the book , but the author was cool with it understanding things change in adaptions. Earthsea on the other hand strikes me as something that even if it was a perfect and literally translation people would hate it for some obscure reason.

So I am looking forward to his next work.
