That's so nice of them! The way I learned about manga and stuff of that sort was because in my Middle School library they had two manga's, "Yotsuba&!" volume 1 and "Kitchen Princess" volume 1. It made a huge impact on my life, the people I hang out with, my art and all sorts of things, I've been happier at school this present time because of reading those two a few years back. I hope this makes a big impact on the kids in New York like it did for me. (Its also a wonderful way to get kids into Sailor Moon) Very Happy

This is incredibly generous of them! As a library lover, I hope those branches are rebuilt soon. The recession has not been kind to libraries and natural disasters...ouch. That $10,000 will be put to good use and I'd be surprised if the manga weren't in circulation already.
