It's appreciated but I'm sure there's other games to localise than Tokitowa that could do with the buzz.

This looks really good! I'll probably pick it up when it comes out, as I enjoy games like these. NISA also likes to include both tracks on their games.

This game has a whopper of a cast, so I'm really glad that Namco didn't pick it up in America. Zack/Player (voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga) Toki (voiced by Kana Hanazawa) Towa (voiced by Eri Kitamura) Enda (voiced by Yuuki Aoi) Reijo (voiced by Yukana) Weidy (voiced by Mamiko Noto) Makimona (voiced by Aya Endou) Bikodo (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita) I'd hate to not be able to hear KanaHana as a main character again like with Tales of Graces. |

I've been waiting for this announcement since before it released in Japan...
This is why I continue to own a PS3 and play JRPGs. I'm hoping it will be awesome. |

I've been told this game is absolutely terrible, and the sales certainly matched that opinion.

People say that about nearly every otaku game that NISA picks up. You either like them or you don't, and if you aren't the target audience you likely won't. Most of the complaints just come from people complaining about fanservice or the perverted main character trying to peek on the girls and being obsessed with panties and stuff like that. Typical anime stuff. http://operationrainfall.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/full5.jpg If that screenshot offends you, you'll probably be best off skipping this game since thats the kinda stuff that pisses off the non otaku. I bet it's because of the whole "HD animation RPG" tagline they're pushing because I've seen some of the gameplay videos, and the "animation" looked like a glorified motion visual novel; it's pretty misleading. |

I'm on the fence for this one. When Imageepoch first started teasing this game, I really liked it, liked the plot, liked what I saw of the main character. But I think a lot of what I've seen since (things like the JPG Ryan Saotome linked) have been a bit counter to my original expectations. I dunno...I'll wait and see...

There are also a fair number of complaints about the low framrate for the animated portion of the gameplay. It's a lot better than original trailers showed, but you can definitely see that it's not as fluid as everyone expected it to be due to what IE was touting the game as. Maybe because I'm a much older gamer, but the animation quality reminded me of the old interactive SEGA CD games or animated cutscenes, say, from Popful Mail - so, to me, it's has a certain nostalgic charm to it even though it could be better. Then again, it was a really ambitious title from Imageepoch and they aren't a huge developer. Gameplay wise - it's okay. Battle system isn't terrible (very similar to the BRS game battle system). Average/mediocre is probably the best way to describe the game overall. |

I can kinda understand those complaints, but it doesn't really bother me. IE is a small developer who doesn't have the money to do a major project where everything is super fluid, so it looks fine based on the kind of developer they are. I play lots of lower budget games so having those kinds of issues just come with the territory. |

It doesn't bother me either, but the expectations of fans were, I think, too high after IE touted as the game as a Full HD animated RPG. I think people thought the game would be literally like playing an anime with fluid animation (the cutscenes are done really nice though by Satelight). Then again, maybe there was some type of technical limitation where the framerate of the characters in-game turned to be that low. |
