Not bad for Chuunibyou. With these increased BD sales, it should be up to about 17k total now. Little Busters is up to about 11.5k. Too bad we won't really know how well GuP will really sell until the 2nd volume when they get the shortages fixed.

So glad that Hidamari Sketch still manage to get decent numbers, which I assume aren't so bad for a 4th season. And let's not forget that two pricey BD boxes cames out last summer for the first 2 seasons. Pretty sure those last 6 months have been quite hard on the wallets of the show's core fan base, in Japan.

Eight thousand is a good run for most shows; typically later seasons sell worse than first ones, though. Either it's been good about drawing in new viewers or it's got a decent-sized dedicated fanbase.

Its the best first volume sales in the franchises history. Its doing great and pretty much guaranteed another sequel now.

Wow really? That's pretty awesome! I would love to see this franchise keep going forever, but at some point they will probably run out of material... Unless they pull something like K-on! - High School, and keep going with new characters.

Rough week for retailers but none of those were debuts so it's all good I suppose.

Chuuni and Girls und Panzer are still fighting tough for the top spot, but all people who ordered GuP after December 13th on Amazon had their copies delayed until January 13th... so it should be a big week for GuP next time which'll propel it past Chuuni.

Those are good numbers... I don't care either way which one "wins", since these are the two Fall series that I'm importing, with a possible future addition of Shinsekai Yori.
