Hmm, not sure if wants. Both DeSu games are closer to the more traditional SMT-style story, which means 3+ drastically different endings, depending on if you go with Law, Chaos, or Neutral. Or, in DeSu 2's case, spoiler[Option A, Option B, Option C, or "screw everyone I'm doing my own thing."]

That said, I'd much rather DeSu 1 get an anime, than 2. And not just because I want footage for the AMV I'd love to make to the game.

This should be interesting. I'm certainly curious as to spoiler[which ending they pick.] As long as it doesn't follow the DS game rabidly while still managing to be interesting, I'll probably enjoy it.

What a coincidence, I actually just got my copy of the game last week! I was hoping to leave it until I finished a few more of the zillions of games I need to get to...but it just went way up the priority list.

Hopefully the anime doesn't stick to the material as rigidly as "Persona 4" did; I think that held it back from being better than it was.

This is pretty interesting, although I was thinking that if they did do a Devil Survivor anime, they'd go with the first one, but that one currently has a manga.

Anyways, I completed the Overclocked version of DS 100% recently, now want to get DS2... Pretty interested in the anime, and want to complete the source game before I watch it (which is why I haven't watched Persona 4 yet, just got that rather recently).

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if I'm just a weird SMT fan.
I felt like Persona 3's story > Persona 4's story, but P4 got the anime.
Likewise, Devil Survivor > DS2, but DS2 gets the anime.

Buuut, I guess much like P4, DS2 does have the better overall cast of characters, and I'll definitely agree that any megaten is better than none.

If I had to guess the ending they'll pick is eitherspoiler[The anguished one's ending or the special ending where nobody dies and you successfully undo the events]

Really wasn't expecting that, but I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it goes well.
