Welp, looks like without a convention to fall back on, Sentai is going back to the good old fashioned press release to announce the March 2013 slate.

Given that Sentai released the first series subbed, this is hardly a surprise.

Its hard for me to get excited for a release when its only subbed. I'm still disappointed that Letter Bee won't be receiving a English Dub considering its a Shonen Jump title one would think that would be enough to get it dubbed into English but apparently that's not the case. Wasted potential by Sentai.

Just because something in WSJ doesn't make it the next Naruto or One Piece.

Exactly! There's some SJ series that haven't even been picked up, let alone dubbed.
Good to see this picked up. I have yet to finish season 1, but I've enjoyed what I've seen so far.

More generic school melodrama stories, courtesy of your friends at Sentai Filmworks.

I wish Amagami's format and characters were commonplace enough to call them generic. Too bad it's not even close to that for most harem/romance anime. Just because you weren't watching it doesn't mean no one was. This isn't something like Kono Aozora which wasn't subbed until over two years after its premier.
Even though MAL stats don't translate into sales or streams, and a good number probably don't even live in the Anglosphere, over 14k people reported completing Amagami SS+, close to 22k having it on their list.

I cant say I am a super fan of the this format of harem, where basically each girl gets her arc, and feels its more of a coop out then no resolution or open ending. That said its fairly an uncommon route to take, and only a handful of shows went this route so its far from generic.
And also dont knock Sentai, I prefer them over Funi by a wide margin because they seem to license fun shows, while Funi seems to just pick up whatever is big.

I am not sure if what FUNi licenses these days is even big. They seem to only pick up shows filled with boobs and senseless action crap.
