This is why we can't have nice things. Damn harassers. Eri Takenashi, Yusa Saikawa, countless seiyuu, and now, the great Comiket.

There's a lot of doujins coming out in C83 I want to see.
If this person disrupts our porn, there will be hell to pay.

Oh come on. How herbivorous can you be?
This is the point where the completely useless generic hero grits his teeth and says 'I'm going to protect our future!'

OK, NO. THIS IS TOO FAR.
I couldn't care a single bit about Kuroko no Basket, but this is TOO FAR. I want my non-porn doujinshi please! This is the first time I'm able to go, and I am not letting that guy mess it up! WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO MY KYUN VAMPIRE GIRL TAKANE COSPLAY?!
Planeteers, MOBILIZE!

I doubt they'd cancel a 100k+ event. Maybe just up the security and ask attendees to use caution, common sense, and not go touching any white powders.

Has anyone really figured out what specifically has this guy so raged over kurobask? Because from what I can gather, his only motivation is "I don't like this show so the creator MUST DIEEEEEEE".
I mean, to be certain, someone who would try to kill another person via mail is pretty insane already, but with such a petty motivation it's kinda... surreal, you know?

I just wanna know how close they are to catching this person. If they really got crackin' on this, maybe he wouldn't have had a chance to threaten comiket. How many letters is this guy gonna send before they catch him?!

This is why you don't negotiate with terrorists. They canceled that Kuroko no Basket event and that gave someone the idea that comiket might cave in and cancel the event if they sent them a threat letter. How do we decrease these number of events? Find one of these social terrorists and make an example out of them, like a life sentence of embarrassing cosplay. Or prison and your uniform is a Hard Gay costume.

Back in the 90s I worked at CNN, where one of the policies is that you don't report threats. This shows why: when just a threat can potentially shut down a major event, announcing it publicly tells all the pranksters out there that they have the power to do the same, with just a phone call or a scary letter.

It was fine when he was cancelling minor Kuroko events. If he gets C83 cancelled, thats when they would have gone too far with the cancellations.

Why was it fine, exactly? So it's ok as long as it doesn't bother stuff you like? Or is it ok as long as it only bothers stuff you do not like?

Events that have a couple thousand people are quite insignificant compared to an event that has over half a million people.

Neither. It's not ok, but certainly more acceptable than cancelling a biyearly event nearly half a million people attend.

I wonder what the threat was about. Was there any mention to what it was about and why? Will they disclose any info or are they keeping it silent?
