Now December is going to be more expensive. So many good things coming out that month. I will definitely have to wait on a number of titles since I can't afford them all. Anime cry

After the over 2 year wait, I'm just glad to finally be getting it. Six weeks more is nothing

Well, these things happen.

I've waited this long. It's hardly a big deal to wait a little longer. FUNi has shown me consistent care with their titles so I'm betting this delay has to do with quality-checking or technical hiccups, which I'd much rather they catch and fix now than have customers have to replace DVDs later down the road.

To me, the dub line-up seems promising. And even if it's a letdown, I'm still buying this in a heartbeat for its incredible sub, to say nothing its plot/animation/characters/et cetera. Rolling Eyes

I am more curious why is this not getting a blu ray release? Considering the crap they put out like Fractale, and decent shows but not great like Freezing or cat planet cuties, why does Magical Index get no blu ray treatment?

Who knows? Either the licence doesn't cover it or even this many years on since the series aired the Japanese are fearing reverse importing? I could maybe understand that if they were talking Index season 2 but not the first season.

Personally? I'll wait until a Blu-Ray release is available or just not buy it. If they ever release Black Lagoon on Blu-Ray, that is the only other series I'll double-dip into Blu-Ray, and I'm not interested in buying anything on DVD anymore.

This argument feels so outdated now though... I mean, they even released Princess Jellyfish on BD, which has a lot more in common with Ouran than Index.

That was almost two years ago.

Whatever Funimation's marketing people thought in 2010 is almost certainly no longer accurate in 2012.

If it can be put out on Blu-Ray it probably should be. Now they may not have licensed it for that type of release, based on their analysis two years ago.

So this may be a "kick yourself" moment for Funimation.

I wanted a blue ray release.

also seasons 2 of index and the movie! all on blue ray but oh well.

would love the Railgun OVA and short anime as well!

Funimation needs to think about these things!

the wait also sucked.

Only a few more months til 2012 ends. Kadokawa can't hold a grudge that much longer, right?

...right?

From just ahead of the holiday season to right in the thick of it. Guess I'll be picking it up next year now.
