1. Shou Tucker (Fullmetal Alchemist). Got that right.

If there was anyone who I want to handle my surgery, it would be Kasugano Ray from Ray the Animation.

No Dr. Franken Stein? He's the epitome of "mad scientist."
Or Faust VIII? Though I guess Faust is harmless as long as you don't touch Eliza. Still, his first appearance spoiler[when he cuts Manta open like a frog] gave me nightmares for a looooong time.[/spoiler]

My gosh, I've not seen/read Descendants of Darkness for so long. Definitely wouldn't want Muraki near me...

As someone else said, yes, where is Shaman King's Faust VIII? He's crazy in every way that "crazy" makes sense.

Too, in relation to Shou Tucker, Faust actually was a surgeon.

Yeah, Muraki is my #1. I hate him with a fierce passion.

Dr. Franken Stein was the other one that immediately popped into my head. I love the guy, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere near him when he has a scalpel in hand.

EDIT: Favorite Sailor Senshi? Oh, this is harder than it has a right to be. Venus was my first favorite (leader of the inner scouts plus I think she was the first scout doll I received); I loved Jupiter because she was tomboyish, had a green skirt, and had brown hair like me; Mercury was smart, nerdy, and shy and I could identify with that; Uranus and Neptune I fell in love with once I realized that they were a couple (plus I liked their cool, proud attitudes... and Neptune could play the violin like me); and then Pluto...

I have a long history of enjoying characters who have a duty/destiny to uphold that isolates them from other people. They tend to be efficient and disciplined, staying loyal to their cause and people they care for, and yet are guarded and lonely. Growing up, I had an alter-ego character I created who became my Mary-Sue stand-in for almost every fictional what-if scenario I created with my friends... and across every incarnation of the character, Willow (yes, who's part of the inspiration behind my online name willag), her personality always had the elements listed above. Over time she has changed to reflect the issues/changes going on in my life (yes, I still use her for fantasy, day-dream scenarios occasionally), but some things that never change are her (initial) isolation (which was a defining situation I had growing up due to a minor case of asbergers, being bullied, and moving several times), her guarded nature that makes it hard to form close relationships despite being lonely (something else I strongly relate to and empathize with), and her strong self-discipline, will-power, and loyalty (which are all traits I really admire).

tl;dr... I think I'm gonna vote for Pluto. Anime smile + sweatdrop

Chopper from One Piece may be a good choice as an anime doctor...although his appearance may surprise some of his patients....

Dr. Jackal is probably the most mysterious characters from GetBackers. He acts like a gentleman, but during his first appearance he kills who knows how many people for fun. Still, he allies with the main characters a lot of times and his appearances are really funny. He kind of reminds of Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter (or the other way round?)

Is Shou Tucker even a doctor? I thought he was just an alchemist who specialised in bio-alchemy. The only doctors I recall in Fullmetal Alchemist are Marcoh, who I wouldn't mind treating me and Knox, who doesn't have the best bedside manner, but still gets the job done.

*Grabs my manga volumes* In fact, throughout volume 2, he is outright referred to as Mr. Tucker - so he isn't a doctor.

I don't think he was animated in the series (could be wrong), but when I read the list title I thought of Dr. Iwata from Excel Saga. You know, the one who stitched the UL logo into his patients descending colon? (Mr. Carl Gustav Horn knows what I'm talking about!) Razz

edit: I feel the need to point out that Dr. Iwata is Black Jack parodied to the EXTREME, right down to the scar.

I know it doesn't count because there's no anime to go along with it, but Franken Fran should be on this list! At least as an honorable mention!

Not necessarily. The convention is that the title 'Dr' is given to a physician or general practitioner (who is not qualified to perform major surgery) while surgeons are always referred to as 'Mr'. Try calling a consultant surgeon 'Dr Smith' - in the UK at least - and you are likely to get a seriously large flea in your ear!

Ah, this poll is easy this time, Sailor Saturn is the girl for me. That's not to say that the others don't have their charm points. About the only one that annoys me to no end is Chibi Usa. Of the proper Sailor Soldiers, Rei is probably my least favorite, but that's not to say I hate her. Still, Sailor Saturn will always remain at the top of my list.

No Dr. Stein from Soul Eater? He 'experimented' on Spirit without his permission!! (O_o)

Ugh. I dislikeDr. Muraki with the passion of a thousand suns!!!! Evil or Very Mad He always creeped me out whenever he was shown on screen, so much so, that I had to watch Descendants of Darkness with the lights on (then again, I was still new to anime when I saw it). Same goes for Tucker from FMA.

I have three favorite Sailor Senshi/Scout: Mercury, Uranus, and Jupiter.
I always liked how smart and tech-savvy Ami/Mercury was in the show yet she never acted like a stuck up, know-it-all. I liked Haruka/Uranus in a...... different way. Makoto/Jupiter was so athletic and strong-willed yet kind and friendly at the same time. I liked how she wasn't the typical 'delinquent' type.

So yeah, this poll is really difficult. Anime hyper

Aye, I did notice that some surgeons that I know are referred to as "Mr.". However, Shou Tucker was never shown performing any surgery nor was it suggested that he does that, so he's not a surgeon either.
