Better offer protection from theft, being a fancy Lupin III car.

When you run into baddies looking to shoot up your car.....or being trailed by some crazed Interpol Agent.
Also, wouldn't a better option be a Fiat, not a Suzuki?

That's strange because usually the bigger engine with a turbo produces more horsepower not less.

it's a diesel engine which judging by comments on Top Gear are less powerful and more fuel efficient.

The Fiat president, after taking Italian public money for his company, moved most of its factories away from Italy (recently, to the USA), creating lots of problems to Italian Fiat workers.
Thus, I don't think the Italian public would respond really well to new Fiat cars made especially for us (even if Lupin III is really popular here).

Diesels are very strange compared to normal ICEs. No spark plugs, ridiculously high compression ratios, and tons of torque. They don't make much power, though. They are quite fuel-efficient, as someone else said.
