Congratulations. Now they just need to adapt the remaining Full Metal Panic! light novels into another animated TV series or two and then we'll all be happy. Wink

Want two things:
1. More Full Metal Panic! anime.
2. More localized Full Metal Panic light novels.

They should do another season tbh cause according to a recent online poll, it was in the top 20 of "anime I want to see a sequel made"

The manga has more than enough material for another season also

Cool

I second that. Smile I'm amazed at why Kyoto Animation hasn't done anything!

i am a big fmp fan so i HAVE to post here Surprised i think there are enough materials for another series so they definitely need to make one. i am sure people wont be disappointed since more action starts after the last fmp anime.

Huh, you would think with figures like that there would be some incentive for Kyoto to consider continuing the FMP TV series while there is still a fan base.

Well that depends on whether or not they decide to skip over "Dancing Very Merry Christmas" and start off with "Continuing On My Own" like the FMP Sigma Manga did.

Umm... Because Kyoto is just an animation house and doesn't own any rights to the series. FMP is produced by a production committee headed by Kadokowa. They would have final say in whether another season was produced or not. Even if Kyoto wanted to animate more, they can't do so without being hired by Kadokowa.

I would like to see more FMP, but I'm starting to doubt it will happen. Second Raid wast exactly a flop in Japan, but it didn't sell nearly as well as the first two seasons, particularly Fomoffu.

I know it's been echoed in pretty much every post in this thread, but it's something that I think needs to be repeated until it actually happens, so here goes!

Any chance the light novels' success will finally provide the kick in the pants KyoAni needs to get back to adapting Full Metal Panic! and stop milking the moé thing well after they've already about tapped it dry?

spoiler["Oh hey, we're going to formally introduce the Big Bad in the last five minutes of the last episode and then wander off to animate the entire Key library and do other stuff after that and proceed to never revisit this again. Y'all cool with that?"]

Me? Still bitter? You bet I am! The fact that they apparently thought trolling their audience with The Groundhog Day of Haruhi Suzumiya was a better use of their time didn't help matters.

I doubt FMP will get anymore anime as the second raid was a flop which is really sad as it was nearly perfect.

Sad if FMP:TSR was a flop but I'd love to see more of that universe animated. Story is already written so no need for filler, etc.

Why do you claim it was a flop? The figures I've seen here would suggest TSR sold about as well as the first season did.

I hope that this will inspire somebody to license and translate more of the novels and manga in North America.
I do not know who would do it with both Tokyopop and ADV Manga gone, but Yen might be interested.

You people still amaze me. Why would they make something that will make them a moderate amount of money when they can make something that will make them a ton of money? I like FMP, I really do, but you HAVE to stop posting the same thing over and over again. The reason they're not making any more FMP anime is because it didn't sell as well as moe shows sell. Why is it so hard to understand?
