I feel like this isn't news anymore. Might as well post, "man wakes up in the morning and goes to bed at night".

*sigh*
do the police honestly have nothing better to do with their time

I'm all for stopping piracy but they need to shut down torrents and share files first before crying about it years later

I will tell you another thing, I do own the limited edition puella magica BD set and the only episode I ever watched was not from the bluray disc.

but you know, fighting online piracy in JAPAN really is a different beast and is more akin to say downloading a hollywood release such as batman here in america.

I think the idea was to make an example out of him. If they keep busting these uploaders, the future uploaders might think twice or of a different strategy. With the amount of file sharing that is done, I'm surprised they only prosecute one person at a time.

Plus, in Japan, as well as most parts of the world, police are corrupt. They are more concerned with illegal uploading than other, much more severe crimes, like drug trafficking.

There's less crime in Japan, so they have more time to do these.

Yeah, because the 143 other examples failed to do this. Rolling Eyes
