So all this director has done is Doraemon stuff? Regardless of how good he is, I cannot have high hopes. Hell, this is like the opposite of Kunihiko Yuyama who went from making good anime to doing Pokemon. But as MGX is a pretty simple in concept and development, and this is going to be different from the manga, it really hinges upon the script adaptation. Because it is coming from Hoods, I wonder if the ecchi factor will be increased with all of the scissor scenes and frequently real and imagined nudity.

Hoods Entertainment? Hahahahah.

Well, okay. Let's see if they can be like feel and actually increase the ecchi content in comparison to the original source.

All he's done are Doraemon _movies_.

There's a big difference. The movies are actually pretty serious animation. That being said it really is _only_ Doraemon movies...

The other staff looks good, though.
Hoods Ent. needs a project that shows they can actually animate something... subtly. This'll be a good test.

It would be possible for him to pull it off, even with a reworked script that drastically speeds up the pace of the manga. If you think AMG is too fast, read MGX. I'm going to guess the biggest thing to be added to the anime will be an actual story with conflict, because the one thing that comes closest to tension in the manga is Urabe getting jealous but never letting Tsubaki know her feelings.

I'm just glad MGX got an anime. I gave up hope for it after it hit chapter 50, so I'll be happy with any non-disaster.

The Japanese Wikipedia entry for him claims that he also worked on a few anime episodically on storyboards as Kakeru Watanabe. They're all early 2000's (so a while back), but those are some interesting series.

I am sure Nazo no Kanojo is right up Hoods Ent's alley.

Let's give it a chance, it's not like Michael Bay is directing it.
