Poor Ayu... she seemed so happy... I hope she finds happiness with another man, because she's truly an amazing individual.

It's because a lot of marriages are "sex-less" in Japan. Child population is declining and there's a lot of social issues with men and women not wanting to sacrifice their spare time to have families. Japan is an overworked population also. It's only going to get worse. Ayumi's schedule more than likely was too busy and when her hubby was not getting to tap that little @$$ of hers, he was like... f' it, I'm outta there. |

I'm not shocked, I remember her saying that they rarely spend time together.

she should have married a Japanese guy, those who goes overseas and think that their life will be better with a foreigner guy usually their relationship ends up like that.

Funny because I think I read somewhere that women there seemed to prefer American men, or anyone else in the west, because they treat women a little nicer, since social norms are totally different between the east and the west. But I think that was some years ago. That marriage sounds totally rushed though. And really, all of this coming from a celebrity, I'm not surprised. |

The article says, she was mostly living in Tokyo because of work and he is living in Los Angeles. So they definitely didn't see each other much and I guess a couple rarely can work like that. This article has some more details on the whole situation.
You can't generalize like that. There are plenty of perfectly happy mixed couples and plenty of non-mixed that don't work out. |

I thought the same thing. I thought maybe she got drunk, but they were together for a year... Ayumi, I didn't even know you got married, but I've lost respect for you. |

Wow.. That's too extreme.. I know that time is gold and work is gold but our life is not all about work. How sad.. |

If the majority are overworked or move on a individual goal, wouldn't s pair consider that before marriage?
Geez, couples. Unless the husband recently moved to U.S, in between the marriage o_O No patience. |
