Reminds me of a time when back in the shakespeare era (and before) women weren't allow to theater perfomance so all the girl roles were played by man.

No Shakespeare didn't have male actors wear an outfit that didn't exist at the time. If this is going to a battle of obtuse questions then I can play along and provide obtuse answers.

The best part is that the actors playing the male roles generally look more feminine than those playing the females.
