Machine translations usually end up with some really hilarious results. Especially with languages with different roots like Japanese and English.

Don't worry, machine translation is more authentic. Just like unflipped pages.

Well at least you have the opportunity to flip back to the Japanese.

I suppose having the machine translation is better than nothing as long as the original is there.

If you want to go with the auto translation, what you should do is machine _assisted_ translation. Basically, you should be able to touch a word and have the english translation pop up, and that'll make the manga "readable" for anyone with say, 1 year of college Japanese.

Machine translation? Seriously?

I can't even get to the English beta. It seems like it's Facebook only, and all I get when I click on the title list is "This app does not support secure browsing." Why not just offer an English version of the website? Mad

Yeah, the only thing that actually seems to be in English beta so far is their new Facebook page. The actual site is still 100% Japanese menus. And I see they haven't yet found a better solution for displaying translations than as a text overlay, very unfortunate.

I'm glad to see Mr. Akamatsu is proceeding with international fans on his mind, though, because this will be an amazing thing for English-speakers too once they get the kinks worked out.

Machine translated... ouch. Well, it is still beta, so hopefully this is a stop-gap solution.

Wow....

Hat's off to Akamatsu-sensei for trying, but that is absolutely horrid.

Not only is the translation, a true, un-Americanized translation that makes no sense, it's all in a little text box at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for the effort of sharing this with us, but no thanks until it's updated a bit.
