I agree with 4 of 5, i'd replace Kimi to Boku with Ben-To or Guilty Crown. Cool

Going by pre-order rankings it would be

Persona 4/Fate Zero
Working
Haganai/Horizon

Kinda sad. Mirai Nikki is clearly the best. All 3 of its episodes have been amazing, and it even surpassed the manga.

Agreed. Also, Persona 4 has been disappointing at best. I'm surprised it made the top 5

I thought this was an opinion poll. I don't see pre-order rankings as a contrast to the poll in anyway.

It is an opinion poll. I just thought it interesting to see another measure of 'popular' (that of pre-order rankings). You are correct that there is definitely a correlation. Of those in this Recochoku Poll, the only one that isn't doing well in pre-orders is Kimi to Boku.

http://anime.biglobe.ne.jp/userranking/title/23525/

There was also an updated Biglobe poll for the best anime this season a month in.

1. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
2. Fate/Zero
3. Working!!
4. Mirai Nikki
5. Guilty Crown

Based on these polls and the preorders, its safe to say the 3 big hits this season in Japan are Fate/Zero, Haganai and Working !!.

Persona 4 has about 35k Amazon stalker points (look for ペルソナ4). The closest to it is Working at about 13k Amazon stalker points.

The big hit thus far in pre-orders is Persona 4. Although the first Fate/Zero box was literally just solicited hours ago, so if it spends a large amount of time at #1 (as it currently is) it could catch up.

gotta say thats a disappointing and perfectly predictable list, the only way the list coulda been more predictable would be if something like Maken-Ki!/Majikoi/C3 made it
whilst i actually really like this season (i'm watching about 20 titles that started this season) and i actually enjoy them all on some level, there are some really great titles this season and they aren't on that list

My Top 5 would be something like:
1] Mirai Nikki
2] Fate/Zero
3] Ben-To
4] Guilty Crown
5] Chihayafuru

thats a slightly better list for an opinion poll, but again C3 came 7th so i can't give it much creditability

that full list goes:
1. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
2. Fate/Zero
3. Working!!
4. Mirai Nikki
5. Guilty Crown
6. Ben-To
7. C3
8. Horizon In The Middle Of Nowhere
9. Persona 4
10. UN-GO
11. Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing-
12. Chihayafuru
13. Squid Girl II
14. Tamayura ~Hitotose~
15. Kimi to Boku
16. Mashiro-iro Symphony
17. Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi TV 2
18. Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!!
19. Shakugan no Shana III
20. Sengoku Paradise Kiwami
21. Nurarihyon no Mago: Sennen Makyou (not sure why this is on there)
22. Hunter x Hunter
23. Phi Brain: Puzzle Of God
24. Maken-Ki!
25. Gundam Age

C3 and Horizon is pretty high in the list! Smile

They shoulda been higher than stuff like Working! and Kimi to Boku though.

HunterXHunter is pretty low on the list...then again it's probably because it's adapting stuff everyone has seen already.

Stay the underdog, Ben-To. All I ask is you sell enough BDs to permit a second season.

I wouldn't say Persona 4 has been disappointing. It's actually been rather great in my opinion. The only problem with it, and honestly the problem with adapting anything like this. Is that it follows the game almost perfectly. Which can be rather annoying if you've played and beaten the games. Because you know everything that's going to happen from beginning to end. I'm glad that they started animating the background stories to the characters like Chie and Yukiko, cause that added in some new material while still being faithful to the original.

I'm not surprised Persona 4 made it to the top 5. I am however surprised that Kimi to Boku made it into the top 5 and something like Guilty Crown and Mirai Nikki didn't. The rest were disgustingly too predictable.

Don't bet on it

There are only 4 shows rankings worse on Amazon this season than Ben-To.
