Good! I was worried that Kevin would get rushed to the emergency room and die, along with a number of other attendees who caught his bug. Then the convention would have to be shut down, the area quarantined, and biohazard crews sent to check who else is infected. The local government would then call a state of emergency with virologists around the world scrambling to find a way to treat this new disease before it runs amok and kills more people. Imports from this region would be halted momentarily to prevent its spread internationally, but some idiot will sneak out and board a plane...

All in all, about 50,000 people will die from this disease, most of them in the United States and China, and the new virus will be named after the convention they went to. Infants born in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, and much of the European Union will be required to have a vaccine when it is discovered. Due to the negative memories associated with this convention, it will be the last one of its kind held. All anime conventions henceforth will require immunization records for admission.

Nina, being an elf, is safe from this pathogen, and Paola is immune to all similar diseases due to Rosa having come down with something similar in childhood and passing the immunity down the family. The two of them hold a somber funeral for Kevin, and this comic strip would henceforth continue without him. However, Nina is sued by families of the disease's victims for her failure to stop Kevin from attending. She wins the case, as she could not have possibly foreseen what would've happened, not being a medical expert, and logically assumed it was an ordinary cold or fever.

10 years later, a Hollywood movie will be made about this incident at the convention.

At the end of the story, we get a public service announcement to maintain good hygeine when at a convention, to wash your hands frequently every day, to take proper medication as prescribed by a doctor in good standing, and to avoid going to large social events if you feel you're stricken with something particularly heavy.

Maybe he should have just cut his losses and left to go rest. Last I checked hallucinations of someone who wants to kill you is a bad thing.

So, she'd opts for Option B.

I hope Kevin's concoction inducing nightmare will only cause him a big red face.

Did anyone else have trouble reading this strip? Took me about 3 times before I understood the frame order. Normally this comic is pretty straight forward...

I had a sneaking suspicion Kevin's self-medication would end with him either yacking his guts up or trippin' balls... "The snozberries taste like snozberries." LOL!

Germany! Exactly! What is it with Japan's love affair with Germany? You see almost as much German (language, history, mythology, race, etc.) as you do English in Anime and Manga, what gives? The same can be said for France as well.

It's like Japan has an uber crush on France, Germany, England, and the US.

Not sure about France and England but I know that Japan's government is modeled after Germany's government. The US forced the opening of Japan in the Edo period and we occupied them after WWII. So I believe thats why we see a lot of German and American influence. It all comes down to history.

Laughing Heh, seeing stuff drawn like Ninaroth really makes me want to see more of Robin's "realistic" anime/manga art.
