I appreciate what they are doing there. It looks like a good way to promote such a large group of artists and talent. I also know that video was probably not meant for my specific demographic.
I will say this though, They will have to work on each of the characters being a tad more interesting than that to have them keep attention. In about a 6 minute span of time we get maybe 3 of the 38 girls to show signs of personality (and what was shown was a tad tacked on even for anime). Having watched pretty much all of the Negima series and read the manga, when you have such a large cast of characters you have to be more distinctive than 'this girls hair color is different' or 'this girl has a different type of ribbon' to keep my attention. Lots of potential for slice of life stories and the like if done well though. |
