Since I haven't found any official word on the matter, is it right to presume that the Pioneer English-language dub will be used for these screenings?

Good question. The screenings at London's Barbican are subtitled, according to the website; I'll ask about the Picturehouse screenings.

Just checked with Manga, which says the Picturehouse screenings will be subtitled too.

The only one that would be doable for me is the York one and it's on a Monday so it's a no-go; can't get any time off work at the moment all the summer months holiday leave is gone.

Anyway it's also playing on Friday June 24th as part of BrightOn Japan Festival: http://www.brightonjapan.com/duke_of_yorks.html at The Duke of York's Picturehouse in Brighton.
