Mizushima isn't going to direct? (sorry, but 'general director' just makes me think he's a name with no duty)
Ugh, and I hated the direction with Valkyria Chronicles. I know video game adaptations usually suck, but that one just was awful. I'm not as excited as I would be had Mizushima stayed on to direct. I love his work. |

Sad, but expected considering he's working on Blood-C. Let's hope the comedy is consistent from the first season. |

Thought it was already announced. That's to show how obvious it was.

Does the "!?" implies a Fumoffu or a Negima show?

Sweet! As long as the new director doesn't spoil the taste of the comedy it's all good

The new director was involved with eps 2 and 8 of the original series, and looking over the synopsis I don't recall being disappointed by anything in those episodes (actually some pretty memorable things about them came to mind), but then again I enjoyed pretty much all of the first series. I think I'm always at least somewhat wary with sequel series, even without staff changes (see Nogizaka Haruka from the same animation studio, which I still liked but was disappointing compared to the first), but I'll have some faith that this will continue to be extremely enjoyable like the first for now. Looking forward to more Ikamusume.

I'm pretty sure it's a nod to the failure of Ika's campaign against the humans. |

I really enjoyed the original anime series when it streamed on Crunchyroll--light, but at times surprisingly smart entertainment.
(By the way, has anyone said anything about a US home video release for the first season?) |

I hope they have more good material, because I felt they were running out of those in the latter episodes. More squid jokes and less obnoxious American scientists please.

I am totally looking foward to this... I also hope someone puts this show on squidding DVD sometime soon. I may have a crunchyroll membership largely for watching this specifically, but that doesn't mean i wouldn't like a nice, conveinent DVD for when the internet is acting up.
