I didn't think Scryed was awful, but I'm surprised that they are bothering to commemorate it in Japan. Was it a big hit over there?

I hope there not re-editing it to make it make sense, since its insane pointlessness and non existent plot is what made it so awesome.

Interesting. I doubt we'll ever see this new footage/editing/whatever in the states though, outside of fansubs.

If this is like most "special editions" then it will simply be a compilation of some sort with a few new sequences and, I have to imagine, changes to the background music employed during different scenes. All in all, nothing too out of the ordinary.

In all honesty though, I didn't hate Scryed but it's hard to expect too much from a project of this nature. While time will have to tell, my interest is mostly on the low end of the scale.

Compilations are rarely better than the original material they're supposed to be presenting in a different format.

Not a huge hit but, unlike most anime, apparently it did make a profit if DVD sales are any indication.

Count me among the surprised. It seems like Scryed dropped off people's radars once Adult Swim dropped it. But it's not a bad thing, since I enjoyed the show.

Count me as another person surprised. The thing was so stereotypical hot blooded hero, stoic rival, cute kid sidekick for the hot blooded hero. There's really nothing you couldn't get from a much better anime.

Maybe it'll be like DBZ Kai and shorten the series with the 2 main protagonists just admitting their manly love to each other and be done with it. Laughing

I can't say I'm incredibly excited about a recap movie in particular, but the fact that s-CRY-ed is getting any sort of new content is hilarious. Very Happy I loved the hell out of that cheesy, over-the-top, wtf-is-this show back when it aired on [as]. The dub is nothing short of amazing, since the entire cast basically realized what they were dealing with and turned the ham up to 11.

So? A great show should still be great 10-20 years later.

I can't really remember Scyed on Adult Swim so I am curious see it again I do like Dragon Ball Zaki the reedit of Dragon Ball Z if Adult Swim bring the reedit Scryed back and stay with it I might watch it I wish they would let a series run it's course instead of droping a series in mid course like ONE PIECE andBLUE DRAGON among others. Surprised

Infinite Ryvius was awesome.

S-cry-ed would have been better with more of the girl with short blue hair. Man, she was hot.
