This is such a beautiful and haunting piece. I hope that Mr. Ishida is able to keep on using his great skills and creating such wonderful works in the future!

I agree...it was absolutely gorgeous. Ishida-san is truly talented...which on its own is exciting enough. With the anime industry's current situation, though, it is even more exciting to see new talent like this. Both of his works are excellent and original pieces...I hope to see more original works like this in the future.

Most people don't watch indie animation. And seeing how commercialized animation tend to be nowadays, there's not a good chance we'll see most of those anytime soon.

A definite far cry from the previous short--Didn't totally get it of course, but full agreement it made for nice viewing.

I guess; I feel like independent animation has gained a wider audience through the Internet, but it's still pretty small. I know I'm always finding new young or unknown animators through blogs like Cartoon Brew, which highlights independent shorts and stuff quite often. It's always a little sad to me, though, that talents like Mr. Ishida's don't often appear on TV or at the cinemas. Some of these animators are fantastic, and their works deserve to be seen by everybody! |

That was the most amazing example of BG porn I think I've ever seen, altho I guess the first one was more a study in character work, so now he does a full showcase of BG work.

Certainly not as funny as Fumiko's Confession, but I still found this amazing in it's own special way. I look forward to Ishida's next work.

True, but like I said, people don't like to watch independent animation. When's the last time people here have sat on one? One of the more acclaimed Japanese independent animation shorts is Koji Yamamura's Oscar-nominated Mt. Head. How many people here have seen it or have heard of him? |
