I'd hope for this to get licensed/simulcast by Funimation but then I remembered the first series was put on SAVE and thus they may not even bother with this...

Ugh, why, why why?! Kawamori, why do you keep trying to bring this dead horse back to life? First an OVA, then a movie, now a new TV anime, Aquarion was not a good series.
I guess it was popular in Japan, though? I mean, otherwise, why keep making versions of it?
And actually, the basic premise with the reincarnation and everything might have actually worked if it hadn't been padded out with after school special morals and dull monster/problem of the week episode, or if it hadn't been scrunched into a short format...
So... maybe I should actually be happy that they're trying it again... again?

You would think we would hear something about a Macross 30th anniversary project instead

...And with this my hopes for a major, original "Macross" movie in 2012 have gone from "unlikely" to "no f***ing way." It's probably going to be an OVA, since "Frontier" is currently the only anniversary project in the series that wasn't.

No, don't. Get the soundtracks by Yoko Kanno and listen to them, but Aquarion is not worth it; at least 80% of dull pseudo-philosophy that does nothing to advance the plot, and the finale is... even weirder than some of the "morals."
Also, everyone orgasms when their mecha connect.

Too late, I just started . Everyone orgasms when they "gattai", eh? That sounds... kinky and funny to watch. Well, if some say it's "bad", I'll see if it becomes a guilty pleasure of mines or see how bad it is.

It isn't as bad as people say it is. I rather enjoyed it when I saw the series.

I can safely say that Aquarion is the worst mecha series I have ever seen. As everyone mentioned it was dull, the mecha pilots orgasm everytime they combine, they have like 10 pilots for a three person machine so no one is really all that developed, the main characters go past volatile couple into simply hating each other, and the main female lead wants to have sex with her own brother.

Aquarion was a really fun and entertaining series so I'm very happy for there to be more of it.

Getting a chance to hear everyone "merge" again is well worth the price of admission.

if I remember right the only ones that even hinted at acctually creaming their pants were the nerdy guy and the chick with the brother complex, honestly why does everyother person throw a bullshit fit over any kind of mecha anime either it being a few random ass people or the whole [expletive] community. personally I can't wait to see this when it starts

More Aquarion? Meh. I say we need a hot blooded SR show right about now instead.
