I don't get it either Does it have something to do with the "oopsen" uh, printer?
edited to add: nevermind....
Now that I look at it again I can totally figure it out. I think I'm taking too many pain meds.

Thank you, Cheesecracker, I was too slow to catch most of that as well. Who said punchlines couldn't be funny after having to be explained?

You were so close, too. The Transformers aren't piloted, nor do they combine to form bigger robots. Maybe they have at one point, I don't know. Haven't watched it. But this is spoofing combining robot shows like Voltron.
As for the comic, it took me a minute to realize what the "grey thing" at the end was, but when I did it became my favorite Nina in a long time.

Argh! Struck down by the Nerd Hammer!
I concede, but can you correct the statement and still retain it's essence? (and no you can't use"worst combining robot show like Voltron evar")

There's probably an appropriate Japanese abbreviation.

Bzzzt. Several Transformers did indeed combine into larger robots. Constructicons, Stunticons, Protectobots, Aerialbots, to name a few of the gestalts.
But yes, this is referencing a Voltron-type robot.

I guess I chose to forgo technical correctness for widespread commercial appeal.

Yeah it took me a moment to get this one. When I re-read their names, I was like, "oh yeah..." Then I LOL'ed.

Indeed, there were transformers that could combine into larger bots and Fightbait if you've just looked it up you would know that there was an entire season about Headmasters (transformers, with heads consisting of cyborgs/humans with transformer technology implanted into their bodies.

As soon as I figured out the word play after reading it a few times, the ingeniousness of the comic made me laugh and wonder how Robin comes up with these.
I'm guessing "oopsen" is a spoof of Epson printers?
