And her career as an idol begins it's slow, sad destruction.

Saw it coming. Now it's only a matter of time before she disappears from the group.

For her to step down like this hints that he probably was banging her.

Japan's society is so ass-backwards in areas like this, it's almost incredible. Hell, over here, celebs practically get praised if they're suspected of boinking someone.

What I find even more sad is that a "certain demographic" has plenty of time to have a life but are more interested in the lives of their revered idols.

This is so funny!
Imagine how much better her songs will be when she discovers the sausage.

1) I think she's already "found the sausage," call me crazy. That's part of why she's in this mess. And at 22, looking that hot and being in Showbiz it would be beyond stupidly naive to assume she hasn't, unless we're talking about the same mental giants who thought Brittney Spears (whom on her best day wasn't even a third as hot) was also a virgin.
2) A cutie like her will land on her feet (or back) even if her career tanks. Some Sugar Daddy (or Momma, we don't know for sure) will see to that as either her BF, husband or "other."
3) What really pisses me off is that she's the only one taking heat for this it seems. What's his punishment? Let me guess... Nothing, would be my guess. So far she's the Harlot and he gets a pass from The Boys Club.

Once again, Japanese media got me shakin my head. I'm not saying they shouldn't have marketed her as an available pure maiden, but the fact that market research proved that there's money to be mad if you can make chumps think she's clean, is just...I dunno man..this shit's really got me upset for some reason..fudge AKB48

The Japanese can be pretty uptight for folks whose cartoons regularly feature decapitation.

*nods* Although, unless one of them are in a committed relationship/married. I don't see what the big deal is. I never understood why people are so fixated about the private of celebrities.

You'd really think it's media and her fans want her to step down? Think if you were one of the other 47 girls who don't have the same level of media exposure.
It's about equality, fair play, and under-the-table transactions, not virginity.

Sorry, the statement required a more accurate telling. Most of these girls would have the same exposure through normal working hours so pretending they're "suffering" seems an unlikely defense.
Of course, if the rest of those 47 girls are also being stalked photographed to sell magazines and website ads, then the defense becomes invalid because the publicity is then on equal ground.
Back on topic, the guy walking out of the house (from the photos on the offsite page) sure as hell isn't carrying a posture of someone who has helped someone. It appears he's cowering away, which is a good sign of activities some will not approve of.
