drifters! that's pretty neat. Still I'm surprised that they licensed it so soon (only 1 volume out in japan right? and it's a monthly serialization).

I'm not interested in any of those, it will however be interesting to see if these will actually be released or thrown into the cellar of neglected licenses together with World Embryo. Probably not since they are both from popular creators and I assume there are some other circumstances surrounding World Embryo but why lose a chance to question this? It's been two freaking years since you, Dark Horse, licensed it...

Nice! Given Trigun and Hellsing were bestsellers for them, it's no surprise they went for the next series from those creators.
I imagine we'll see World Embryo soon- it's not like they have a horde of new titles awaiting launch. DH's line is small, but steady for 2 decades now, with some great reads.

It's been awhile since I bought manga from Dark Horse. Are the pages still being flipped with new titles?

Why do people keep calling Drifters a feudal manga? It's very misleading.

Only Blade of the Immortal (which I heard is because that is how the mangaka wants it).
They haven't flipped anything in many years.
That being said I'm all over drifters. I'll totally be picking this up.

Great news. Very interested in both these mangas, sad that Kekkai Sensen is so short, though.

Very disappointed at this. No interesting titles......I was 110% sure they were going to announce Sailor Moon. Maybe they'll announce it some other time. Kodansha USA did cancel their appearance afterall......

I'd all but forgotten about WE. Now I feel so ashamed. I fell in love with Moriyama's work when I discovered Chrono Crusade way back when, so I was thrilled to hear another of his series was coming to the U.S.
I hope we still get to own it legally in the near future.

Oh. My. God. I don't think a licensing announcement has made me so absolutely ecstatic in such a long time. Drifters is incredible. A friend and I got into it a couple months ago via scans and got addicted, but it's extremely low priority for the scanlators. We've been concerned that we may not ever see the whole thing in English because of that and have been hoping for a license and it looks as if our prayers have been answered. Finally!
Everyone, give this title a shot. It's an incredible series so far.

I don't understand it either. It's true that the manga opens at the Battle of Sekigahara, and it's true that many of the characters are from old Japan, but most of the story takes place in a fantasy world and it isn't really about feudal Japan at all. Nonetheless, I'm so excited to see that Drifters will be released in English, and I'm definitely buying it when it hits the shelves. Thank you, Dark Horse!

I'd like to thank Dark Horse for getting me back into manga , Drifters sounds like something awesome so I'm willing to give it a shot. I wonder when the first volume will be out though?
