I have to wonder if this is more because of the HORRIBLE production issues they've been having rather than it being a treat to fans of the original soap opera. Seriously this anime had potential but the production team screwed it up.

Never seen the drama or the anime, but that sounds pretty neat. I would think for people who saw the original drama and have been following the anime that that would be a touching ending, especially with the original cast.

Nah, it's just a marketing ploy. This is a show in which the first airing ended with a clip of of Yong Joon Bae greeting the viewer and asking how she (or he, I guess) liked the anime.

It's an appeal to star power.

I'm up to episode ten, and am really enjoying the series so far. The animation isn't spectacular, but the backgrounds are lovely, the cast are eminently likable, and the plot, as cliched as it all is, has a heart of gold. This ending sounds interesting, a treat for fans of the original drama, although if it isn't done properly, it'll totally break the tone. Hopefully, they know what they're doing!
