And the award for least likely source material for an MMORPG goes to... Crayon Shin-chan Online!

Well that's...unexpected.
Wasn't there a Wii game too? That's the one I want over here, but will never get.

You said it. What are you supposed to do in the game? Level up your ability to be a complete brat?

Wow. How. What. Huh?
I don't understand how this could actually be a game.

So Shinchan gets an MMORPG but .hack// doesn't (get an actual one)?
[sarcasm]
They might as well make one for something more plausible like, I don't know, Honey & Clover?

Kirikiri23, stop being a jerk, please.
This is quite unexpected, but how does it work? Do you actually get to play as characters from the manga? And what do you do all day in the game? I am intrigued and would like to subscribe to their newsletter.

Anything reguarding the entertainment value of something is opinion. Due to the varying nature of what entertains people, there is nothing factual about it.

Serious thread is serious.
I too reflect the "wtf?" sentiment. I guess it makes sense if Shin-chan really is that popular but this seems like they're pushing it a bit far.

Out of every series, I would haven't guessed Shin Chan would be next to become a MMORPG. But how in the world can Shin Chan even be a MMORPG is beyond me.
Its pretty obvious, the company that has rights to Shin Chan is trying to make as much money as possible before the entire series concludes.
Side note: Happy New Years everyone, been quite the year in 2009.
