I also see no Secret of Kells, which is a little disappointing. Although there might be rules for qualifying for nomination as mentioned above. Don't think it'd beat Up, but I certainly think it's more deserving than the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie...

Very sweet for Ponyo. ^^ I'm kinda hoping to see 9 get in as well; I really think that movie was well done, despite the kinda cheesy ending.

I know that AMPAS didn't consider "Eva" to be 2009 release and since it wasn't on their original list, HFPA probably didn't either. Not that it really had any chance of being nominated in the first place, mind you.

Well they do have the rule for showing in LA between January 1-December 31 but unlike AMPAS I don't see a rule that states it cannot have been exhibited outside the US before that
