Usui is said to have expressed his intent to climb the Arafune mountain, which towers 1,422 meters (4,665 feet) high at the border between Nagano and Gunma Prefectures.

Like "father", like "son"? Well, I still hope you're safe, Usui-san, 'cus you do bring amusement into my life.

He told his family he was taking a day hiking trip. So he probably didn't bring that much food or camping material. It is a bad sign that he didn't return when he said he would. Sounds like his cell phone probably lost its charge.

After being missing for almost a week in the mountains, with him intending only for a day trip, it is not hard to assume the worst.

Hopefully he is conscious and near a source of water.

...sadly, I had this thought too.

Even worse, its more likely he got hurt and is waiting for help... or unconscious. I don't want to think about it. I'll just pray for his safety.

Here's hoping for the best.

I really hope he's alright. Shin-chan is one of my favourite manga.
