I'd love to be able to get the first episode of Honey & Clover to check out the dub, but I've tried to register with iTunes three times in a row now and all three times I got stuck at the paypal screen with the button saying that my Payment agreement was made and a button to "Continue to iTunes", which I click, and nothing happens.
Why is iTunes so completely fail that they can't simply allow me to use my Paypal account information when registering without having to jump back to Firefox?
Are Apple programmers honestly so incompetent?
Oh well, I'll be buying the DVD sets, so I'll see the dub... eventually.

Being an Apple fanboy, I was curious about your comments Megiddo. Like any other computer problem, you probably need to find the root of your troubles and go from there. Did you trying doing the steps you outlined at another time, maybe something on the other end was temporarily offline/down, did you try rebooting your computer and going those steps again? If iTunes was "failing" that much, there would be more than just you having those troubles, and Apple would probably have to address those issues on a timely basis. And finally Apple has support websites and newsgroups that you can see if others have trouble with paypal-specific logins.
Getting back to the matter at hand, that's cool that both Nana and Honey & Clover are on iTunes. For a small fee I can check both series out and see if I like them enough to get them when they actually come out on dvd. It's interesting that Funimation is willing to host them on their VOD channel on Comcast too. The economy is tough enough that anime companies are willing to work together for mutual benefit, at least in this one specific instance.

I'm one of those fossils who still watches anime on DVD. I'll go ahead and try entering this new era with a free Honey and Clover download.

No Japanese language track for Japanese people doing Japanese things in Japan, no download, even if free. I hate to be like this, but yeah this is nice for people who like dubs, but they really need to start offering both subs and dubs online, or find a way to integrate dual-audio so that the aspect of buying the DVD truly isn't as important. Besides, at those nonnegotiable prices, you're paying probably more than the DVD would cost, per episode, for far less features. I guess it's for the convenience, but I don't like it. For me, it'll be DVDs until they find a way to give me what I want. Besides, downloading from iTunes carries the same problems as downloading the music, what if you lose your collection or the harddrive goes?

I'll be waiting until 'Septmber.' Typo!
Not even going to bother with a download if it's not in Japanese, sorry.

I didn't really care too much for the H&C dub (I usually really like Yuri Lowenthal's performances but he didn't work for me as Takemoto for some reason ).
Still I will be very excited to finally own Honey & Clover on DVD. It definitely feels like it took forever. At one point I thought Viz were never going to release it.

I love Nana but I hate iTunes. I don't understand why I have to download some 80mb program just to download MP3s... especially when Amazon does them DRM free and all I need is a web browser. Hopefully Nana comes to Amazon's On Demmand service, which also doesn't require a massive 80mb resource hog just to browse a storefront.
But anyways... I love Nana but won't be buying this. They would have had me like 3 years ago when I saw it and badly wanted to buy something to show them my support. It didn't seem like the anime would be coming out anytime soon so I started buying all the manga volumes. I'm not about to double up now.

I had some problems yesterday downloading Nana too. Eventually I found out that it was because the stormy weather was interfering with my wireless signal. I waited it out and eventually it worked fine. I downloaded an episode of Nana. I'm usually a sub fan, but I thought they did a pretty good job on the dub. I absolutely love the Nana soundtrack, so I ended up buying "Rose" while I was on iTunes. I also got Honey and Clover. I didn't think I would like it, but it was free so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. Found me a new series to get into! iTunes has a bunch of other new anime shows too. My iPod's happy now.

They used 'Starless Night' instead of a little pain, so I wouldn't look too much into it, since they're both OLIVIA songs. Seeing as how she wants to break into a North American market, I don't see holding back the song as a good way to do that.
And yay, an Ocean dub. Maybe they can get this on TV somewhere in Canada (like Much, or one of the Women stations (seeing as how chicks eat this stuff up)).
EDIT: Looks like a little pain isn't available on the NANA Best album on iTunes either. Might be a rights issue after all...

Yeah, but "A Little Pain" has to be one of the best songs I've ever heard in an anime series! It would be a serious loss. It makes me wonder if the situation would be any different if streaming had been big back when the show debuted and it was actually put online by the Japanese broadcaster as it aired.
To anyone who watched H+C - were there any music issues there?

I'm disappointed nobody has stepped up to bat on that yet. I'm sure Much would be all over it if they were still owned by CHUM, but it seems less likely now. It would be great if Corus picked it up and tried it out on W, especially since Death Note seems to be having a bit of success on SCR... I mean "dusk". Unfortunately, W isn't really a network known for taking risks.
(Also, where the heck've you been? )

completely of topic but when did 80MB be considered a resource hog? In today's computers of 4GB RAM and TB drives?
I love iTunes but I try to avoid buying videos there. I still like DVDs for all the reasons the posted here. At least anime. But all iTunes music now is DRM free so I don't mind buying music there except classical and Jazz.
