Well, I'm glad they finally got it sorted out. It still takes forever to load the episode, though.

^I guess it may depend on your Internet provider. I have Fios and all three episodes loaded immediately with no problem.

Happy that they got the episodes up and running. Hopefully One Piece will make a return in due time Smile

Hmm, it now appears that their entire video site is now geoblocking the UK, which wasn't the case before. Any other countries suffering the same problem?

^On Twitter they said that it was only temporary: "UK-based visitors to the FUNi video portal will be temporarily unable to access our content. We are in the process of opening the video of each series approved for streaming in the UK and this will take more time to complete. This is only temporary and we fully intend for these series to return for fans in the UK."

I'm glad that they revamped their webplayer and got the new episodes up. The only thing that bums be out is that I can't flash download the videos anymore. I have Hughes.net and I'm put on tight bandwidth management (500 mb a day and the avg Funi video is about 170). I would download them in the morning during my unlimited hours (2-7am) and watch them later. Oh well, it's not theirs or my fault and this is for the best, so I'm not crushed. I suppose I'll just buy the shows I wanted to see next year or whenever they're available.

The UK's FMA Brotherhood fans may have to wait until around July 12th as Manga UK are rumoured to be streaming it from then.

Funimation Senior Public Relations Manager Jackie Smith tells ANN, "We want One Piece to return [to the Funimation streaming video portal]. We're working on it, but there are issues that we have to work out. First and foremost, we have to appease our Toei masters. So, Gen Fukunaga has volunteered to face Toei's champion, Glondoor, in a stone circle deathmatch."

This One Piece thing might take awhile. Rolling Eyes

I know this is a bit off-topic, but I have the same service and only get 350 MB a day. I was wondering what downloader to use to schedule downloads during the free period?

I've heard nothing about that from Manga themselves, or from places like AUKN. Where did you find this rumour, out of interest?

That is good news, but the question for me is can I get myself to start watching again? I was having a hard time before and so now I'm not too motivated. I wasn't exactly excited to begin with, and now I'm out of the habit of watching this show.

This article here
http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/tvandradioblog/2009/jun/09/anime-japan-tv

It originally had a substantial amount of comments on it, one from an ADV rep and one from head of marketing at Manga (JeromeMaz post).

We're also launching Fullmetal Alchemist on our own site by Summer's end. We will catch up with the first 15 episodes and then show one new episode every week following the Japanese broadcast.

And it was also announced back at the May Expo.

See "new anime"

I know what you mean, but they should be getting to "new" stuff (i.e. not covered in the first TV series) pretty soon now, since the show's up to about the point the first series split off from the manga - right around events involving your icon, btw. Smile

I'm glad not just for FMA but for Phantom, which I wanted to give a try since I've either dropped or finished so many of the other series I started this season.

YES! I saw #10 earlier this afternoon and it was AWESOME!!!
#11 looks to be a revamped version of "Her Reason". Interesting they would spend a whole episode on that side plot...or would they? I guess I'll just click and find out! Very Happy

Wow, June 25 is like Christmas Morning this year, though it's half a year away...

Nice. I've been eager to watch ep. 10 and it didn't let me down. They've made some improvements on their player, too. No buffering problems for me and playing it in full screen on my PS3 doesn't show that interface anymore. All that needs to be done is provide some Hulu-like video quality. It looks rather subpar when things are moving really fast.
