What do the tiers do? Better quality, more bandwidth allocated to your buffering?

I don't think it does anything but give you more anime to watch.

Well maybe one day we'll see a new Full Metal Panic series. Right now, I am pretty content with the third season's ending.

FMP is cool, I bought both the first third season and I am looking for Fumoffu, the series has a great amount of action and comedy, and who doesn't love the totaly over the top things Sousuke does. I decided to watch subs and didn't hear dubbed voices till I heard them at the begining of the discs of the first season. Even though I have read praise about it the voices seemed out of character, Sousuke wasn't so serious, Tessa didn't sound shy, and Webber didn't have the slightest bit of a german accent. I know they change things as to give a different perspective of them, but it looks they removed some defining features.

The first (guest) is open to all. Extremely limited.

The second (registered) is open to registered users. A bit more open, but not by much.

The third (premiere) strips $7 from your bank account monthly and gives you 100% access.

From what I can gather, the $7 offers nothing more (other than access). I've asked if the premiere accounts strip the ads, but so far, no reply to email.

Interesting you mention that, as that's one of the reason why I'd like to see another series. End of TSR was really average imho. Left too many questions unanswered. Oh well, wait and see I guess.

I'll admit, the ending wasn't exactly perfect, but the third season covered more ground than the first though. But I still found the second season to be my favorite though. But if there ever is a fourth season, I sure would watch the show again.

I am not really a Mecha fan, but this series is pretty cool. A fourth season is possible, but its really a "wait and see" type of deal now.

And what's the problem, we pay for access to content in other channels and get advertisements through Satelite/Cable so what's different. It's their network, there is going to be advertisements, paying to access the content is perfectly fine with or without ads.

To make it clearer think of it as a movie pass, with full access you get access to everything but much like a ticket to a theatre you are still going to watch advertisement before the movies starts, plus coming attractions. And even if yyour paying for it, they still happen. And really asking to watch a 30 second advertisement every now and then isn't much, even when considering a little under $7 a month service. That's like one meal at a fast food restaurant, you can afford to cut that and put that in it's palce. Heck I do it with the MMO I play in, pay a monthly access and there are advertisements in-game.

Now then do I have the means to go out and afford this service right now? No but it is something to look into further when those means become available to me. But if I want to watch Ghost Stories, I have the series on DVD so no biggie there.
