SEGA must've really had a tough year to consider releasing an Atlus-like game here.

Sega has nothing to do with the release of this game. It's NISA that's localizing it.
I can't wait for this. I hope NISA keeps the JP audio.

Excellent news! I can only hope the prior games will get translated at some point. A definite import.

Sweet! I was waiting to hear this. Too bad they are releaseing 5, not 1, here(I'm used to Sakura's group thanks to the DVD releases here). But I'll still buy it, anyway.

Yes, thank you NIS. I always wanted to play a Sakura Wars(Taisen) game since I love the anime. Since this is a NIS title the English dub should be excellent like their other dubs. I'm very excited. So now we got Mana Khemia 2 coming out, Sakura Wars, Cross Edge, and more plus hopefully NIS will bring Atelier Rorona to America.

Just noticed Famitsu's score for Sakura Wars V: 37/40. Dang, thats pretty good.
Maybe THAT is one of the reasons why this one, and not one of the earlier ones, is getting released here(Just a guess of mine, though).

Loving this! I always wanted to play since my friend imported the games and they looked fun, but the language barrier was just too much since I didn't have plans to learn Japanese. I'll more than likely be picking this up.

i've been telling this to people many times but no one seemed to ever care since it's not Final Fantasy or what not. this series is THE series to get me into import gaming of this type of game (dating sim/strategy). STV was definitely a great game so you can imagine my excitement upon hearing this.
as a small side note since i mentioned Final Fantasy, the first ST game happened to come out around the same time as the legendary FFVII (which i still haven't played yet). ST came out in 2nd place right under FFVII which is pretty darn good for an original game at the time especially going up against a series like FF. just thought i'd pass that tidbit around.

Well, I've played this fully a couple years ago (still have the LE edition) and I say it's decent. I enjoyed the story, despite some inconsistencies with the far worse ST V: Episode 0 (curiously one of the pictures in NIS press release refers to that game, instead of ST V). Despite being "separated" from the main line of the games, it has a few nods to the original series (two characters, one of them appeared in the animated movie).
However I'm doubtful given what NIS has done with the release of Ar Tonelico 2.

This is great news, I just hope that there's an option to keep the Japanese audio in the Region 1 release.
Also a subsequent release of the first two games that were compiled for PSP.

Yeah, between Sakura Wars, Arc the Lad, Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, and probably others, ADV sure was fond of licensing anime based on video games that North American audiences had never heard of.
