Every time I look at the title, I think of the song Shipoopi for some reason.

"The girl who's hard to get!"

This is old. The trailer's been up since the original announcement of Shippuden, English subtitles, etc.

By the way, the music in the trailer, is that the actual anime music?

only another 60 episodes of filler and then i can start to look forward to this. still have my fingers crossed that YTV will just cancel the filler and move on to this when it's finally available.

Lame trailer. Most of it was from the pre-Shippuden series.

Does anyone know why they even bother to dub the trailer?
I mean really the only lines are "Sakura...Naruto" and "Sasuke!"
which pretty much sound the same in English or Japanese.
This is supposed to be a trailer for a subtitled version of
the Japanese episodes, right? So shouldn't it be in Japanese.
Having English voice actors for this confuses people and makes
them think that they are talking about the English Dub of Shippuden. I dunno, maybe the dub will also be starting around the same time? But from how the fillers are going that won't happen
until Feburary or even March, unless of course CN decides to
go back to the two episodes a week procedure.
I'm hoping that after Total Drama Island is over (which is I think one more episode) CN will change Naruto's time slot away from 10:30 Eastern. Seriously, what's the point of putting it at 10:30pm?
They already censored the show so kids could watch it?
Why put it at a time when a lot of kids CAN'T watch it?
I'm hoping beyond hope that they are only doing this for the fillers
and that they actually plan to show Shippuden at time when
people would be able to watch it.

I was about to say the exact same thing. Only 2 seconds of Shippuden footage...

In the original trailer, yes
Yes. The track is called "Ikari"

The music is good, but doesn't fit the first arc at all.

In the current trailer, it is the first Opening.

Like how they have the OP up now

Since there are 16 fillers left to be shown, then unless they intend to show the fillers and Shippuden simultaneously, Shippuden can't start until April at the earliest.

Once Cartoon Network is done doing movies they'll probably go back to two episodes a week. They did something similar to much of the Toonami block last year. I'm thinking come January they'll return to back-to-back episodes and maybe even a marathon block to blow out the last few episodes. I think we should be done in early February.

Anyway, where are people seeing this dub trailer? I follow the link and I get is the subtitle opening preview only.

^ 16 or 60?

A back-to-back Naruto filler marathon; I'd love to see that. It shall be the worst marathon in the history of television. Laughing

16, I have no idea where people got 60 from. Somebody went through the encyclopedia and dated the episodes assuming that they will remain one a week without any delays and it shows the last episode airing in mid March. But I'm confident that they'll start pushing these along quicker in January so they can get to the good stuff so much sooner.

That's assuming Shippuuden even comes to Cartoon Network, but that's a debate better left for another topic.

Emerje

(EDIT: I think I see, 16 episodes for Cartoon Network, 60 for YTV)

*cries hysterically in joy* F... FINALLY!! Anime hyper I... I'd almost given up hope. I've tried so, so hard to not hurt the anime industry by watching fansubs, or reading ahead via the released manga or online scans.

Viz, just... *sniff* Thaaaaank you for restoring my drive to watch Shippuden legally. I've been looking forward to the dub for so long, practically since the gawd forsaken Fillers started!

Now if Cartoon Network'd just get it thru their thick skulls that Naruto's been a good thing for 'em and that they should go back to the 2-new-episodes-per-week schedule at least to dissolve the sludge pile faster and get to the gold nuggets buried within.

As a side-note, I was wondering what Viz was gonna do about the Shippuden title, if it would be translated or not, and whatnot. I'd hafta say, while surprised, I'm quite happy with their decision. BRING ON THE DUBBED TIME-SKIP, I SAY!!! Anime catgrin

60 is for our canook friends who have to deal with YTV... they aren't quite as caught up as we in the US are...
