Whoa, first post.

It has begun. The mainstreaming of anime.

I loved Pioneer / Geneon since they had the true otaku stuff, but with its divestment to Universal, and acquisition of international partnerships, it looks like Dentsu will become Japan's Nickelodeon.

No more hardcore stuff.

I really doubt if the end result will be anywhere near that bad. I'm expecting it to make very little difference in the long run.

Seeing as that area is mostly islamic I wouldn't expect Dentsu to put out anything to upset the status quo, but really just what do you mean by "hardcore"? I can't think of any past Pioneer, or later Geneon title like that. Weird, and strange maybe, but hardcore?

Dentsu has always been mainstream. They're a multibillionaire company that's not interested in niche stuff. So they go for co-productions that could be big if it works out. It's go big or go without for them.

this area also have alot of Chinese and Indians... Many of the countries here also practice racial harmony... So there really is not much of a problem, since i think most of the production are going to be based either in Singapore or Malaysia... where the Ideas are actually quite open
